Devon Works Tread 2 Reaches Full Maturity
At Baselworld, we gave you a view of the prototype of Devon Works' first Tread 2, a more accessible version on the popular Tread 1 (which I reviewed previously). Jason Stephenson, the chief engineer with the design lab, provided actions explanation, clarifying that several adjustments were needed ahead of the final specifications were introduced. These adjustments ultimately progressed into a complete redesign due to the fact company founder Scott Devon was concerned that the Tread 2 "might be seen as being a derivative of the Tread 1 " This makes perfect sense. Nowadays, they have finally unveiled the ultimate specifications, and here's what you may expect.
The production version of the Tread 2 represents a significant development in industrial design in comparison to the prototype. Its case construction is distinctive, with the board secured by eight clasps, reminiscent of Richard Mille watches. The movable temples continue to be a highlight, this time using a more rugged angle, motivated by the tip of a looking knife. Additional lugs smartly connect the case and straps, adding a touch of contrast to a few of the colored models. The particular display design remains mainly unchanged from the original principle.
Baselworld will showcase several Tread 2 watches, along with a stainless steel version, a black DLC-coated version, a reddish and black version, and also a white version.
